cedars

from a woodsman saw
wooden snowflakes
rest upon us all

the whine of the chainsaw is still upon my ears as I write this. spent pass two days helping a friend remove a hundred foot red cedar from her property. the old tree was leaning over her cabin threating to destory it one day. i couldn't help but think that the retired woodsman hired to retire this old cedar seemingly were bound together giving each a purposeful life. as the sawdust drifted down upon us I could help but realized their fate was our fate.
